台灣的房屋充斥著毫無遮蔽且外露的管狀物，這些管狀物可能是水管、風管、電管等等。它們集體朝著人的需求而彎折，在抵達目的地之前，穿越各種建築結構，有些躲藏於鋼筋、天花板或屋頂內，有些則直接暴露在外牆上。那些可見的管狀物表面留下許多人存在的痕跡，或者說，有這些管狀物即代表人們生活於此地。

這些管狀物的存在，或是作為生活的一部分，經常會被忽略。我試著將街道上收集來的，無法一眼知曉去向的，片段的管狀物，拼接成一長條《水管書》，請隨意地翻閱、展開、彎折它，並享受好玩的翻閱過程。




In Taiwan, buildings are filled with exposed and unshielded pipes, such as water pipes, ventilation ducts, electrical conduits, and more. These pipes collectively bend to meet human needs, traversing various architectural structures before reaching their destinations. Some are hidden within steel reinforcements, ceilings, or rooftops, while others are directly exposed on exterior walls. The visible pipes bear traces of human presence, or perhaps, their very existence signifies that people live here.

The presence of these pipes, often an integral part of daily life, is frequently overlooked. I attempt to piece together fragments of pipes, collected from the streets, whose purpose is not immediately clear, into a long strip titled Water Pipe Book. Feel free to flip through it, unfold it, bend it, and enjoy the playful experience of exploring its pages.
